Public API

Time tracking API: your accountant gets the hours without asking you.

The MiJornada API is a public, documented REST API that gives your accountant or payroll software access to your company's working days, clock events, absences and employees. The key can only read, takes two taps to create in the app and is included in every plan, including the free one.

What you can do

What you stop doing by hand.

Hours, straight to your accountant

They get each person's working days for the month, with the corrections you approved already applied. No spreadsheets or emails.

Connect your own software

If you have payroll software or an ERP, it receives employees, working days and absences.

Nobody touches the record

Your accountant's key can only read. The working-time record cannot be created or changed from outside MiJornada.

How to connect

Three steps, and no coding needed.

  1. 1

    Create a key

In Company › Integrations, in two taps. Only the company owner can do it.

  2. 2

    Give it to your accountant

Treat it like a password and send it along with the documentation.

  3. 3

    Done

They get the data when they need it. If you stop working together, revoke the key and it stops working immediately.

MiJornada screen to connect your accountant: an animated explanation, three steps to connect, an accountant's key with its last use, and the button to create another.

Your data

What goes out and what never does.

What it can see

  • Employees: name, email, code, workplace and start date
  • Workplaces
  • Working days: hours worked, breaks, first clock-in and last clock-out
  • Clock events as they were made
  • Absences and vacations: type, dates, status and days

What never goes out

  • Reasons for sick leave and medical documents: sick leave appears as a plain absence
  • Handwritten notes and reasons
  • Photos and locations of clock events
  • Paid leave
  • The audit log

For whoever builds it

REST, JSON and one key.

One call with the key in the header gets you the month's working days, with approved corrections already applied. There is an OpenAPI contract, signed webhooks and cursor pagination.

  • Public OpenAPI 3.1
  • 120 requests per minute per key
  • Dates in UTC and the working day in company time
  • Webhooks signed with HMAC-SHA256

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us most.

What is the MiJornada API?

It is a public REST API that lets software read the working days, clock events, absences and employees of a company using MiJornada. Accountants and payroll programs usually use it to get the month's hours without anyone sending a spreadsheet.

Does it cost anything?

No. It is included in every plan, including the free one for up to 5 employees.

What data can my accountant see?

Employees, workplaces, working days, clock events and absences. Never documents or reasons: sick leave appears as a plain absence.

Can it change clock events?

No. Your accountant's key can only read, and the API has no way to create or change clock events. Corrections are still made in MiJornada.

Does it give overtime?

It gives the hours worked and breaks for each day, with corrections applied. The balance against the planned schedule is not in the API yet: you get it from Reports, in the app.

How do I cut off access?

Revoke the key in Company › Integrations and it stops working immediately.

Who is responsible for that data?

Your company decides who gets the key. Whoever receives it handles your employees' data, so only give it to someone with a contract to do so.

Does my data leave the European Union?

MiJornada hosts it in the European Union. The API delivers it to whoever has the key, and where it goes from there depends on that software or accountant.

Try it free. No credit card.

The free plan never expires and includes the API. Create your company, clock in and generate your accountant's key today.
